What's different about our websites for schools?

School websites are a fairly predictable mix of static and dynamic content.

Static content is the areas that change infrequently. This includes timetabling, uniform details, school ethos, subject details and other detailed information about the school.

Dynamic information relates to parts of the site which are regularly updated - for example newsletters and photo galleries.

The important thing, is not to mix the two types of content up!

A Mouse Doctor site will be carefully constructed to separate out the static from the dynamic. This means that the dynamic content can be easily updated without jeopardising the static content, and the static content will not look dated if no updates are made for a while.

If you choose to maintain your site yourself, we will give you a manual with details of what to do and how to achieve the effects you want. The site structure will also be clearly labelled to make it easier to see where files should be kept.

We have a range of prewritten modules to quickly add in the following dynamic content:

... and can add others if you find a need for them.
